Finding Strength Through Faith: Trusting God in Your Toughest Moments
I tell my story of how I made it through hard times after divorce and being laid off while raising my two children. In Don't Count Yourself Out you will read how I had to lean on my faith and how I put all my trust in God.

I know a lot of people don't want to hear about God, but honestly without God in my life I don't know where I would be today. I remember when unbeknownst to me my ex-husband didn't pay the rent for 4 months. At this time, he was laid off his job, so I would give him the rent money to give to the landlord.
One day while at work my good friend called me and said, "Do you know you have an eviction notice on the door." I said, "That must be a mistake because I have been paying the rent every month.
When I got home from work and saw the notice Immediately called the landlord to see what was going on. I was told that he hasn't received rent money in 4 months. I said ok, let me see what happened. In my mind I'm thinking my husband must have held on to the money because the landlord was in the hospital dealing with a health issue but was now home.
Well, I then called my husband and what he said to me, I couldn't believe what was coming out of his mouth. The betrayal, the hurt and the frustration I felt was almost unbearable. I would have never thought of this man doing what he did to us and what came next.
